create-ebook vs Squibler
Squibler is an AI writing studio: it drafts full-length books and screenplays from a concept, keeps characters and settings consistent, rewrites with you, and can turn passages into images or short videos. It runs on monthly AI credits, with a free tier. create-ebook writes one book from one sentence, chapter by chapter from a plan you approve, then composes the cover and produces the files, paid per book. This page compares the two on what you get and how you pay.

What Squibler is genuinely good at
Long fiction and anything that needs a writing room. Squibler keeps an Elements list of characters, settings and key details and refers to it while drafting, which is what keeps a 300-page story from losing track of who is who. It writes screenplays as well as books, its Smart Writer proposes edits you accept one by one, and you can highlight a scene to generate an image or a short video from it. Their site says over 20,000 writers use it, and the paid plans include a free physical copy of the first book you create.
If you write several books a year, or want to iterate on a manuscript for weeks inside one tool, a studio with unlimited credits is built for that.
Where create-ebook is different
create-ebook is built for one finished book rather than an ongoing workspace. You type one sentence, approve or edit a plan where each chapter has one job, and the chapters are written in order, each aware of what the earlier ones covered. Every chapter goes through deterministic checks for filler and repetition and an editorial review, and is rewritten automatically when it falls short, before you read it. The cover is composed with the book, and the same manuscript exports as a typeset PDF, an EPUB for Kindle and other stores, a DOCX, and a print interior and full cover for Amazon KDP paperbacks.
It also writes natively in French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and German, not as a translation of an English draft, and it has dedicated formats beyond prose: workbooks, recipe books with one recipe per page, children's question books with pictures, and printable coloring books.
How each one charges
Squibler runs on AI credits. Their pricing page lists a free tier with 1,000 credits a month and no time limit, Plus at $29.99 a month (or $15.83 a month billed annually) with 10,000 credits and full-length manuscripts of 200 to 300 pages, and Pro at $89.99 a month (or $49.17 a month billed annually) with unlimited credits and books. Their FAQ quotes slightly different rounded figures, so check their site for current pricing.
create-ebook is pay per book, no subscription. You read chapter 1 in full and the opening of every other chapter before paying, and once a book is unlocked it is yours, with full commercial rights.
Which one to choose
Choose Squibler if you write fiction at length and want a workspace you live in: screenplays, scene images and video, a character bible, and unlimited drafts on the Pro plan. Choose create-ebook if you want one finished, publishable book (a guide, a workbook, a lead magnet, a cookbook, a short novel) with the cover and every file KDP asks for, in your language, without a monthly bill.
Frequently asked questions
Is create-ebook a Squibler alternative?
For one finished book, yes: one sentence in, a reviewed manuscript, a cover and the PDF, EPUB, DOCX and KDP print files out, paid per book. For screenplays, scene videos or an ongoing writing studio, Squibler does things we do not.
Does Squibler export EPUB?
Their pricing page lists PDF and DOCX on the Plus plan. Check their site for the current list of formats. create-ebook exports EPUB as standard, next to PDF, DOCX and the KDP print files.
Can Squibler write in French or Spanish?
Their site says finished English books can be translated into more than 80 languages. create-ebook writes the book directly in English, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese or German.
Is there a free version?
Squibler has a free tier with 1,000 AI credits a month. On create-ebook your first book is written for free and you read chapter 1 in full before deciding to unlock it.
Who owns the book?
On create-ebook, you do: the unlocked book comes with full commercial rights, under your name or a pen name. Check Squibler's terms for theirs.
