create-ebook vs getebook.ai

By the create-ebook team · Updated 2026-09-13

getebook.ai and create-ebook do the same job: one sentence in, a titled and chaptered book out, written live with a cover and store-ready files. If you have narrowed your choice to these two, the decision is mostly about how you pay and which languages you publish in.

The verdict

If you publish in English and produce several books every month, a subscription with credits can be the better deal; check what one book costs in credits on the plan you would take. If you publish a few books a year, or in French, Spanish or Portuguese, create-ebook costs less and never bills you in a month you write nothing. The rest of the product is close enough that price and language should decide.

Cost per book

getebook figures assume the entry plan and that its monthly credits cover one book; verify on their pricing page.
Books per yearcreate-ebookgetebook.ai (from $29/month)
129 €At least $29 for the month you use it, $348 if you keep the plan
359 €$87 to $348 depending on when you cancel
12149 € + 59 €$348 if one book a month fits the credits

What getebook does that we do not

  • Coloring books and a print-ready studio for them.
  • An audience and a track record in English since before us.

What we do that getebook does not

  • No subscription. You buy a book, you own it, you come back when you have the next idea.
  • Native French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, with the marketing site, the interface, the writing and the editorial review in that language, rather than a translated UI.
  • An explicit quality gate: deterministic checks and a rubric-based review per chapter, with automatic rewrites that do not cost you anything.

Frequently asked questions

Is create-ebook a copy of getebook?

The flow (sentence, plan, live writing, export) is the natural shape of the product and both use it. Pricing, languages, quality pipeline and copy are ours.

Which has more formats?

getebook lists six types plus coloring books; create-ebook has five. The five cover lead magnets, guides, workbooks, course companions and novels, which is what most self-publishers make.

Can I try both free?

Both let you generate and read a book before paying. On create-ebook the first book is free to write and read; you pay only to download.

Which is better for non-English books?

create-ebook, by design: each market has its own site, copy, examples and editorial review in its language.
