The verdict
Choose ebookmaker if you need an audiobook today or publish in a language we do not cover. Choose create-ebook if you publish in English, French, Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese and would rather pay 29 € for a book than $19.90 every month. Sixty-three languages in the menu do not mean sixty-three languages written well; four with a native review is a different promise.
Breadth versus depth, concretely
An interface translated into a language is cheap; a book that reads as if a professional in that language wrote it is not. Our pipeline writes in the target language from the first word, with market-specific spelling (Brazilian, not European Portuguese), and a reviewer prompt that scores idiom and regional variant among six criteria. Below the bar, the chapter is rewritten before you see it. That is the work behind “four languages”.
Audiobooks
ebookmaker generates audiobooks; we do not yet. It is on our roadmap because two competitors validated the demand. If audio is your main channel, that decides it today.

Does create-ebook plan to support more languages?
Yes, one at a time, each with its own market copy and review rubric. We would rather add a language properly than add a menu entry.
Can I get an audiobook from a create-ebook book?
Not inside the product yet. The DOCX export works as input for any text-to-speech tool meanwhile.
Why does server-side rendering matter to me as an author?
It matters if you plan to link to your book page or want the site you rely on to be findable. It is also a sign of how a product is built.
Which is cheaper?
Per book, create-ebook, unless you write two or more books every month on ebookmaker’s entry plan and its credits cover them.
